2023-24 Executive Team

Joshua Jankelow | President

Joshua is a senior from South Africa studying Economics (with Honors) and Political Sciences. After graduation, he is excited to join Evercore’s PCA team and he spent his 2023 Summer as an Academy Intern at Point 72 Capital Management. As President, he hopes to continue advancing the Blyth Fund’s phenomenal educative impact while delivering exceptional returns. In addition to finance, Joshua enjoys celebrating his faith by working in the Jewish community, tutoring public speaking, playing Squash and acting in the Stanford Shakespeare Company.

Nathan Kuo | Vice President

Nathan is a junior from Los Angeles studying Economics and Computer Science. He has previously interned at Woodline Partners, a L/S equity Hedge Fund based in San Francisco, and Rogers Investment Advisors, an alternative investment advisor in Tokyo. As Vice President, he’s interested in the use of alternative data in informing decisions, and hopes to guide and collaborate with analysts to explore different investment strategies for the fund. In his free time, Nathan enjoys watching baseball, going on long hikes, and walking his dog Lacey.

Andrew Kelmanson | Financial Officer

Andrew is a sophomore from Kentucky and South Africa studying History and Computer Science. He spent this last summer working in Strategy Consulting for Deloitte in the Middle East, and spent the previous summer studying Russian and Geopolitics in Almaty, Kazakhstan. He is passionate about teaching investing and in his free time loves learning languages, going to concerts, and traveling.

2023-2024 Portfolio Managers

Ethan Chang

Ethan is a sophomore from San Diego studying Computer Science and Economics. He previously interned at Rogers Investment Advisors, an alternative investment advisor in Tokyo, and FoundersX Ventures, an early-stage venture fund targeting fintech and biotech investments. As a Portfolio Manager, he’s excited about analyzing alternative data and exploring arbitrage investment strategies and opportunities for the fund. In his free time, Ethan loves to play soccer, make sports bets, build things, and learn new languages.

Cynthia Chen

Cynthia is a senior from Connecticut studying Computer Science and minoring in MS&E. She has internship experience in both tech and finance at Tesla and J.P. Morgan, and next summer she’ll be working in sales & trading in New York City. She is looking forward to teaching and discussing technical investing strategies and working on fundamental analyses with analysts. In her free time, she enjoys long-distance running and visiting museums.

Rishi Jain

Rishi is a Sophomore from the Bay Area studying MS&E and Computer Science. He has previously done a software engineering internship at Dawn Aerospace, a sales internship at Uber Eats, a revenue accounting internship at the Golden State Warriors, and a private equity analyst at Permira. In his free time, he enjoys watching the Warriors and 49ers as well as playing tennis and golf. 

Carson Levit

Carson is from San Francisco studying Sociology and minoring in Economics. He is passionate about understanding markets and the cognitive biases that can lead to their inefficiencies. The past couple of summers he interned at Steadfast Financial and Maverick Capital, where he rotated between different industries, including industrials, luxury goods, and technology. In his free time, he enjoys skiing, surfing, and golf. Carson is also an avid poker player.

Araha Uday

Araha is a sophomore from the Chicago area studying math and economics. Last summer, she interned at Silver Alpine Capital, a private equity firm based in Los Angeles. During the upcoming summer she will be at the Federal Reserve Board in Washington D.C. This year, Arahalooks forward to sharing her passion for public market investing and discovering new investment opportunities for the fund with analysts. In her free time, Araha is watching films of every genre, listening to Taylor Swift, and working toward her pilot’s license. 

Jennifer Lin

Jennifer is a sophomore from Maryland studying symbolic systems and political science. She is an associate at Everywhere Ventures, a global pre-seed fund. Last summer, she worked on the Atlantic Council’s Cyber Statecraft Initiative team. She is especially interested in the tech sector. Outside of the Blyth Fund, Jennifer is part of the Stanford Debate Society and loves traveling, being a foodie, and exploring nature.

David Lu

David is a sophomore from Singapore studying Computer Science and Economics. He previously spent some time at Rogers Investment Advisors, an advisor to funds and institutional investors, and NGP Capital, an early-stage fund focused on B2B SaaS. David hopes to work closely with analysts, from the initial stages of brainstorming to the analysis of investment opportunities. Likewise, he’s committed to fostering a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere within the team. In his free time, David’s a big fan of 8-ball, loves to eat, and is passionate about hiking.
